This policy covers our three study apps:
Each app is an educational app that helps you study for its FCC Amateur Radio license exam. We respect your privacy and do not sell your personal information.
Each App stores your study progress entirely on your own device, including:
This data never leaves your device. You can reset or delete it at any time by clearing the App’s data in your device settings or using the built-in “Reset Progress” option.
If you choose to send feedback through an app, the text you type (and the optional name, if you provide one) is sent to us so we can improve the app. This is stored in a spreadsheet we maintain and is never linked to any other data. You can provide feedback anonymously by leaving the name field blank.
Each App may check for updated question-pool files hosted on GitHub. Only the public question data is downloaded; your personal study progress never leaves your device.
You can delete your data at any time using the built-in “Reset Progress” option in each App: open Settings › Data › Reset Progress. This immediately deletes all study data stored by the App on your device, including question ratings and net scores, practice test and exam history, bookmarks, theme preference, daily study reminders, and premium unlock status.
Alternatively, you can delete the App from your device, or clear the App’s data and cache through your device’s system settings (Settings › Apps › [App name] › Storage › Clear data), which removes all locally stored data.
To delete all data stored by HAM Technician Prep 2026-2030: open the App, go to Settings › Data › Reset Progress, and confirm. This deletes question ratings and net scores, practice test and exam history, bookmarks, theme preference, daily study reminders, and premium unlock status. No study data is retained by us because none of it is sent to us in the first place. For advertising-related data (such as the advertising ID) collected by Google AdMob, deletion is handled through Google’s advertising controls at https://adssettings.google.com. Because all study data is stored only on your device, deleting it does not require contacting us.
The Apps display banner ads served by Google AdMob. As part of serving and measuring ads, Google’s ad SDK may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID) and related usage data. The Apps request non-personalized ads. If you choose to enable daily study reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. This is handled on-device and does not transmit any data to us.
Unlocking Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play. The Apps themselves do not collect or store your payment information; your transaction is handled by Google’s billing services and is subject to Google’s own privacy terms.
The Apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Apps after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
